Listening party guides
Everything about listening to music with other people in real time: how to run the night, and how to bring in songs from wherever your group keeps them.
Updated
- Listen to YouTube Together Online, in Sync
Music videos, live sets and whole YouTube playlists — plus how the sync survives ads and buffering. - Listen to SoundCloud Together with Friends
Mixes, demos and private share links from SoundCloud. - How to Host an Online Listening Party
Start here if you're planning an evening: themes, timing, invites, keeping the queue fair, and what to do when something goes wrong.
The short version
Start a lobby, share the five-character code, and everyone who joins hears the same second of the same song. Anyone in the lobby can add songs, from a YouTube link or search, a SoundCloud link, or a Spotify playlist that gets matched song by song. Nobody needs an account, and nothing is installed.
An account is optional and only adds things that need somewhere to live: saved playlists, a name and photo that follow you between lobbies, friends, and a permanent room code that's always yours.
